Dr. Yu is an Associate Professor of Public Administration and the Graduate Chair of the Public Administration Program at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Her teaching focus includes leadership and ethics, and human resource management. Her research interests include the recruitment, hiring, retention, and promotion of women in non-traditional occupations, in particular federal law enforcement. She is a Lt. Colonel (Retired) from the U.S. Air Force and a Special Agent (Retired) with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.
